Our staff at the check-in counter will ask you for a current contact number if we don’t already have this. Please ensure you have fulfilled the entry restrictions and quarantine requirements of the destination.
Contact-free check-in: To minimise contact with one another, we encourage you to use the online check-in service up to 48 hours before your scheduled departure. If you are departing from Hong Kong or Beijing, self-service check-in kiosks are available at the airport. Self-baggage drop service is also available at Hong Kong International Airport.
Protection while waiting: If you find yourself in a queue during check-in or boarding, stand at least 1.5 metres from other passengers for safe distancing. Hand sanitizers and advisory signage are available at check-in areas, ticketing counters, transfer desks and boarding gates.
Mandatory temperature checks: If your flight is to Mainland China or any destinations classified as high-risk places, you are required to undergo temperature check at the boarding gate. If you have fever or display symptoms of COVID-19, you will not be permitted to board.
Self-boarding: Clear for boarding without having to show your documents again with a simple one-step facial recognition with the new e-Boarding Gate at Hong Kong International Airport.
Enhanced cleaning programme: Our advanced cleaning programme ensures cabins are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before you board. Only approved aircraft cleaning and disinfectant products are used to uphold high safety and cleanliness standards.
Interactions in the cabin: To minimise interaction on board, cabin activity will be limited. For hygiene reason, all cabin crew are required to wear surgical masks and protective rubber gloves at all times on board. Sanitizing wipes are available on request if you wish to clean your seating area or other belongings. You are welcome to request from our crew.

Disembarking: Our crew will guide you to disembark by rows and keep a distance from each other to avoid overcrowding in the cabin.
