  • Tickets issued after 21 March 2022 may be rebooked or refunded according to its terms and conditions.  If you have any additional enquiries, please contact our Customer Service Centre or visit our Special Ticketing Arrangements for more information.

  • Tickets purchased between 24 November 2020 and 20 March 2022 via Hong Kong Airlines Official Website are eligible for unlimited changes and no change fees*. Passengers may rebook flights and/or change destinations by contacting our Customer Service Centre 24 hours prior to departure.

    Terms and conditions

    1. This Unlimited Rebooking and Re-routing Waiver (“Waiver”) is subject to these Terms and Conditions. By purchasing economy class and/or business class (if applicable) tickets via Hong Kong Airlines Official Website from 24 November 2020 onwards (Hong Kong time) (“Period”), you shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
    2. The Waiver allows the passenger who has purchased economy class and/or business class (if applicable) tickets via Hong Kong Airlines Official Website during the Period to rebook and re-route his/her tickets for unlimited times without charges.
    3. Passenger holding unused or partially used air ticket for the flight departing within one year after the date of ticket issuance (Hong Kong time) is eligible to re-book unlimited times without charges. For the avoidance of doubt, date of your return flight may beyond one year after the date of ticket issuance (Hong Kong Time), provided the ticket is valid.
    4. Passenger holding unused air ticket for the outbound flight departing within one year after the date of ticket issuance (Hong Kong time) is eligible to re-route unlimited times without charges, provided the ticket is valid.
    5. The Waiver is not applicable to the followings: a. Redemption ticket; b. Group ticket; c. ID/AD ticket; d. No-show passenger; and e. Airpass product.
    6. Rebooking and re-routing of tickets must be made 24 hours prior to the original scheduled departure flight.
    7. Rebooking and re-routing is subject to seat / flight availability. Any fare / tax differences will be collected if applicable. Used/partially used tickets are not eligible for re-routing.
    8. In the event that the passenger elects to rebook and re-route the ticket, the difference of the fare and all government and airport taxes/fees/charges, carrier surcharges and Passenger Fuel Surcharges, but excludes those collected by government or airport during check in (“Additional Charges”) will be collected if the new ticket fare is higher than the original one, subject to travel date/ destinations selected by the passenger and currency fluctuations.
    9. No fare difference will be refunded (if applicable) upon new ticket reissuance if the new ticket fare is less than the original one. For the avoidance of doubt, any tax difference will be refunded (if applicable).
    10. For rebook or re-route ticket which you have purchased via Hong Kong Airlines Official Website, please contact Hong Kong Airlines 24-hour Customer Service Hotline and local sales office.
    11. No-show fee, rebooking fee (except Waiver), re-routing fee (except Waiver), refund fee are subject to fare rules newly rebooked or re-routed as applicable to each origin/destination.
    12. This Waiver is applicable for economy class and/or business class (if applicable) tickets on flights operated by Hong Kong Airlines (HX) only. Not available for special flights, chartered flights or code-share flights.
    13. Bookings are not completed or accepted by Hong Kong Airlines until payment has been received and a booking reference has been issued.
    14. Hong Kong Airlines will not be liable for any matter or loss in relation to any error or omission due to technical problems including but not limited to any computer or internet network issues.
    15. The General Conditions of Carriage published by Hong Kong Airlines apply (subject to change from time to time) and are available on Hong Kong Airlines' website.
    16. Hong Kong Airlines reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
    17. Nothing in the Terms and Conditions shall confer any third party rights or benefits.
    18. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English and other languages versions of the Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
    19. In the event of any dispute regarding any of the Terms and Conditions, the decision of Hong Kong Airlines shall be final.

  • New Customer Service Fees will be in effect from 1 January 2021 and apply to customers who use our services via our customer service hotlines, airport check-in counters or local sales offices.

    Customers who booked on Hong Kong Airlines official website can make changes to your itinerary via our online self-service platform.

    For bookings made via travel agencies, passengers should contact your travel agent directly for any changes or modifications.

    The Customer Service Fees do not apply to those passengers who require special assistance.

Adult

For bookings with more than five passengers, we highly recommend you to make online reservation separately or through hotline to contact us for further booking. (Please note that fares cannot be guaranteed subject to the availability of the seat). Children between 2-11 years must be accompanied by an adult over 16 years of age when travelling.

Infants

To check the applicable infant fare, infant seat availability and make a booking, please call our Customer Services Centre for assistance. Please note that there is limitation to the number of infants that can be accepted on each flight due to safety reason and infant is currently not accepted to travel in business class cabin of aircraft type A350.

Infant ticket is usually calculated from a discount applied to an adult ticket. If the adult ticket fare of the accompanying adult does not offer an infant discount, the next higher fare that offers the discount will be used as the base for calculation. Calculation of infant ticket price is subject to the law of the country applicable to the ticket being issued.

The infant passenger must be under 24 months throughout the whole journey. Infants who reach their second birthday after their outbound flight must purchase a child ticket.

The infant ticket also subject to fare rules and conditions.

If passengers carry two infants on board, one of the infants must reach 6 months old, pay the applicable child fare and travel using the Hong Kong Airlines’ approved car-type safety seat. The other infant will be charged infant fare.

Children

Children between 2-11 years old must be accompanied by an adult over 16 years of age when travelling. For information about unaccompanied children and minors (UM) service, please contact our Customer Services Centre.
