USE OF BOOKING SYSTEM

The following terms and conditions (‘Terms’) govern your use of all online booking systems of Hong Kong Airlines Limited (‘HKA’ or the ‘Company’). Online booking systems include, but not limited to, the HKA website, mobile applications and call center (collectively referred to as the ‘Booking System’).

These Terms applyto all related pages and functions of the Booking System.

By completing a booking through the Booking System, you also agree to be bound by the HKA General Conditions of Carriage (Passengers and Baggage), Conditions of Contract and any other terms and conditions associated with the use of the Booking System and the HKA website.

These Terms are applicable unless they are inconsistent with the HKA General Conditions of Carriage (Passengers and Baggage), applicable convention or applicable laws in which event such conditions, convention or laws shall prevail.

These Terms may be modified from time to time without notice. Use of the Booking System will constitute your acceptance to the Terms outlined in this agreement. It is your responsibility to check for changes each time you book with us.

HKA accepts no liability for the accuracy or completeness or use of, nor any liability to update, the information contained on this website.

This Booking System is specifically designed for the purpose of booking and ticketing on flights operated by HKA and its partners only.

AGE AND RESPONSIBILITY

By using the Booking System, you represent that you are of legal age to create binding legal obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of such usage. You are financially responsible for all uses of the Booking System by yourself and those using your account information. You will supervise all usage of the Booking System under your name or account. You warrant that all information supplied by you and your travel companions in using the Booking System are true and accurate.

BOOKING RULES

Youwill not use this Booking System for any unlawful or prohibited purposes.

Reservation of up to 5 passengers (adults and children inclusive) may be made in each booking transaction, and all passengers must travel together.

All bookings made and issued in a single transaction will have the same itinerary. If separate itineraries are required, bookings should be made separately. If you are booking through the call center, you need to specify such requirement to the Customer Service Operator. If any of the flights need to be different, a separate booking will be required.

Infants (under2 years of age at the time of travel and who do not occupy seat) may not be booked through the HKA website or mobile applications. Please contact our Customer Service Operator for assistance. Children (2 to below 12 years of age at the time of travel) must be accompanied by an adult on the same reservation. Infants and children are subject to age verification at check-in.

Reservations are subject to the applicable fare conditions and the seat vacancies in that fare group. Some fares are not eligible for mileage credit with Fortune Wings Club and other participating frequent flyer programmes.

Availability and price are not guaranteed until you receive a reservation confirmation containing your booking reference number.

An email containing your itinerary and payment receipt will be sent to your registered email address for your reference within 24 hours of booking. If you do not receive this email, please first check your Junk/Spam folders to make sure the email was not blocked from your inbox. Please contact our Customer Service Operator if you require further assistance.

Fares and taxes shown in Hong Kong Dollars on the itinerary is for reference only.

Flight booking cancellation must be completed at least 2 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time, or a no-show fee will be incurred. HKA will deduct the no-show fee from the refundable amount payable to you.

PAYMENT

You must pay at the time of reservation. HKA reserves the right to suspend your ticket until all outstanding fare, taxes, fees, charges and surcharges are paid.

A valid credit card is required for completing the transaction online. Once you submit your credit card details to us, HKA will be entitled to debit your credit card and theHKA General Conditions of Carriage (Passengers and Baggage) is considered accepted. Charges if any, will apply for any subsequent changes or cancellation.

HKA currently accepts Visa Card and Mastercard for payments online. Please note that credit card issuers may charge you an international transaction fee, dependent upon country and currency the credit card is issued in. Please check with your credit card issuer for detailsof charges.

The cardholder does not need to be the passenger /or one of the passengers named on the ticket. But, the physical credit card used to pay for ticket must be presented by the cardholder for verification at check-in, or when collecting the tickets. If a transaction is successfully made with ‘Verified by Visa’ or ‘MasterCard® SecureCode™’, the cardholder will not be required to present the physical card used for verification.

HKA reserves the right to deny boarding and cancel the ticket and contract of carriage, or to collect a substitute payment (in cash or from a different credit card) should the passenger named on the ticket fails to present the credit card originally used for the booking of the ticket when so requested at check-in.

In the event that the contract is cancelled or substitute payment is received as aforesaid, the fares (or an equivalent amount) of the ticket, if already debited to the credit card in question, will be refunded and credited to the same credit card within 6-8 weeks from the date refund application is received by HKA. HKA shall not be held liable whatsoever to the named passenger, the cardholder in question and/or any third party in connection with or arising from the cancellation of the ticketand the contract as aforesaid.

Some airports may require an additional facilities usage fee upon departure. While HKA endeavours to provide up-to-date information on these fees, HKA will not be liable for ensuring the accuracy of this information. You are solely liable for payment of such fees.

Please note that fares and taxes shown in Hong Kong Dollars on the itinerary is for reference only.

CANCELLATION OR SUSPENSION OF SERVICE

HKA may, at any time, and at its sole discretion, terminate or restrict your access to the Booking System, or refuse to give effect to any reservations requested without advance notice if HKA suspects that your account is being used, or may be used:

1. by persons that have not been authorised by you;
2. in a manner that breachesthe HKA General Conditions of Carriage (Passengers and Baggage), Conditions of Contract or any other terms and conditions associated with the use of the Booking System and the HKA website; or
3. in a manner that may cause loss to you or HKA.

You must keep your account information secure. HKA will not be liable for any loss or disclosure of your personal details resulting from your own negligence.

These Terms are written in the English language and may be translated into other languages. In theevent of any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail.
