Virgin Australia marketed and operated flights Fortune Wings Club members can earn points on flights marketed and operated by Virgin Australia between and within Australia, New Zealand and Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). Charter flights (with flight number VA9000-9999) are excluded.

Notes: 

1. Please quote your Fortune Wings Club membership number or present your membership card during reservation and check-in to earn points.

2. Platinum card, Gold card and Silver card members can earn bonus award points when they travel on codeshare flights marketed by Hong Kong Airlines and operated by Virgin Australia.

3. Fortune Wings Club points earned are based on the fare class shown on the air ticket and distance between the origin airport and destination airport. Distance is measured in "kilometer" and in accordance with the "Ticketed Point Mileage" (TPM) published by IATA.

4. Award tickets, group tickets and other tickets specified by Virgin Australia are ineligible for earning Fortune Wings Club points.

5. Virgin Australia charter flights with flight numbers VA9000-VA9999 are ineligible for earning Fortune Wings Club points.

6. Points for each flight can only be credited in one frequent flyer program - either Fortune Wings Club or Velocity Frequent Flyer of Virgin Australia.

7. Fortune Wings Club points will be credited to a member's account 6 weeks after the flight. If you do not find the points in your account by that time, please submit your missing mileage claim together with your e-ticket or boarding pass to Fortune Wings Club at ffp@hnair.com or (+86-898) 950717 within 6 months of your travel date. Missing mileage claims will only be accepted for processing if they are submitted within the 6-month claim period.

8. For the earning standard of Velocity points, please refer to Velocity's website.

9. The above mentioned points accrual standards of Virgin Australia came into effect from 6 July 2017.

 

 

Reciprocal benefits for elite members

 

Effective from 2 July 2018, Hong Kong Airlines will provide premium customer services to the elite members of Velocity, the frequent flyer program of Virgin Australia, when they travel on eligible Hong Kong Airlines flights.

Eligible Flights
- Flights marketed and operated by Hong Kong Airlines; or
- Flights marketed by Virgin Australia (VA) and operated by Hong Kong Airlines.

Remark: Routes between Hong Kong and North America (Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver) are ineligible for premium customer services.

Velocity elite members are required to present their valid physical membership cards to enjoy the following premium customer services. Digital membership cards are not accepted.

Notes:  

1. Please call Fortune Wings Club member service hotline at (86-898) 950717 at least 24 hours in advance of your travel for tickets redemption. Number of redemption seat is subject to availability.  
2. Fortune Wings Club members are responsible for any tax and additional charges for award tickets when flying with Virgin Australia. 
3. Standards for children and infants to redeem Virgin Australia award tickets are the same as the one for adults.
4. Virgin Australia award tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue, expired award tickets will not be accepted.

5. Flight award redemption of Virgin Australia would be executed based on the rules of ticket changes or cancellation of Fortune Wings Club. 

(1) Tickets changing rules: 
If change of flight is requested before the flight departure, Fortune Wings card member will be charged for 200 CNY/per ticket/once, Selected card member will be charged for 180 CNY/per ticket/once, and it will be free of charge for Elite members (Platinum, gold and silver card).

If change of flight is requested after the flight departure, the tickets will become invalid and the points will not be refunded.

(2) Ticket refund and fuel surcharge: 
For voluntary refund, members can reclaim the tax of the unused ticket but the points will not be refunded.

For involuntary refund, members can reclaim the tax, fuel surcharge and points of the unused tickets. Member should call Fortune Wing Club member service hotline at (86-898) 950717 for points refund within 30 days, or otherwise the points would be forfeited. 6. Virgin Australia offers a selection of special meals on International Long-Haul Flights. Please contact Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre at (0061) 13 67 89 at least 48 hours prior to your flight’s scheduled departure.
