



Taiwan, China travel restrictions

Starting from 25
June 2021
Travellers who
have transited or visited key high-risk countries (Brazil, India, the UK, Peru,
Israel, Indonesia, and Bangladesh) in the past 14 days, are required to undergo
quarantine in group quarantine facilities for 14 days and take PCR COVID-19
tests upon checking in and at the end of the quarantine period. Group
quarantine facility accommodation and testing fees will be waived. Designated transportation
will be arranged by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications from the
airport to the quarantine facilities.
Travellers
arriving from places other than key high-risk countries will be required to
stay in a quarantine hotel or a group quarantine facility at their own expense
for 14 days and take PCR test before the end of the quarantine. They are
required to arrange designated transportation at their own expense.
Starting from 19
May 2021

All foreigners are not allowed to
enter Taiwan, except for Alien Resident Certificate holders or for emergency
humanitarian purpose.

All transit services are suspended.

Passengers who
stayed in Brazil or India (including passengers transiting via India) in the
past 14 days are required to stay at group quarantine facilities and undergo
COVID-19 test upon arrival in Taiwan.
Starting from 15
January 2021, all passengers arriving at airports in Taiwan, regardless of
nationality, are required to obtain a certificate showing negative result for
COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken three days before departure and provide proof of the
place of quarantine before boarding. The place should be a group quarantine
facility or quarantine hotel. Those choosing to undergo quarantine at home
should meet the requirement of one person per residence.
All passengers travelling to Taiwan are
required to fill in the online Quarantine
System for Entry form and present the approved barcode before
boarding. Passengers who are unable to complete the Quarantine System for Entry
form or choose to quarantine at home are required to fill in the Home Quarantine
Residence Affidavit form.
Hong Kong Airlines staff
will perform document checks at the airport to confirm if passengers are
eligible to travel to destinations with restrictions in place. Passengers
without checked baggage and holding mobile or self-print boarding passes will
be subject to document check before boarding.
Passengers will also be
asked to declare their travel history to help us ensure eligibility to travel.
