Taiwan, China travel restrictions
Starting from 25 June 2021
Travellers who have transited or visited key high-risk countries (Brazil, India, the UK, Peru, Israel, Indonesia, and Bangladesh) in the past 14 days, are required to undergo quarantine in group quarantine facilities for 14 days and take PCR COVID-19 tests upon checking in and at the end of the quarantine period. Group quarantine facility accommodation and testing fees will be waived. Designated transportation will be arranged by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications from the airport to the quarantine facilities.
Travellers arriving from places other than key high-risk countries will be required to stay in a quarantine hotel or a group quarantine facility at their own expense for 14 days and take PCR test before the end of the quarantine. They are required to arrange designated transportation at their own expense.
Starting from 19 May 2021
- All foreigners are not allowed to enter Taiwan, except for Alien Resident Certificate holders or for emergency humanitarian purpose.
- All transit services are suspended.
- Passengers who stayed in Brazil or India (including passengers transiting via India) in the past 14 days are required to stay at group quarantine facilities and undergo COVID-19 test upon arrival in Taiwan.
Starting from 15 January 2021, all passengers arriving at airports in Taiwan, regardless of nationality, are required to obtain a certificate showing negative result for COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken three days before departure and provide proof of the place of quarantine before boarding.
