Special Meal Service

Special Meal Information and Reservations

Hong Kong Airlines offers a wide range of special meals to cater to your health and religious dietary needs. You can pre-order your special meal by contacting our customer service hotline or through your travel agent at least 24 hours before your flight departs.

Please Note:  

1.We strive to accommodate passengers’ special dietary requirements. However, some special meals may not be available for pre-order due to factors such as short-haul flights, aircraft changes, operational requirements, and destination variations.

2. Special meals should be reserved at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. Requests submitted, changed, or cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time will not be accepted.

3. If your ticket has been changed or rescheduled, your confirmed special meal will be cancelled. Please resubmit your request.

4. Special meal options vary depending on the cabin class, route and flight.

5. Due to operational requirements or unforeseen circumstances, such as flight delays, cancellations, aircraft rotation, or system malfunctions, we may be unable to provide your confirmed special meal on your chosen flight. We appreciate your understanding.

6. Menu alterations and customized meal choices are not available for special meals.

7. For hygiene reasons, our cabin crew will not reheat or chill any personally provided food items.

8. Special meals are only available on flights operated by Hong Kong Airlines (HX) and are not available on special flights, charter flights, interline flights or codeshare flights.

9. Special meals may contain nuts, dairy products, and/or gluten. Hong Kong Airlines cannot guarantee that certain ingredients (such as peanuts or peanut derivatives) will be excluded from our catering service. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and traces of such ingredients may still be present. Please refer to our Advice for Passengers who are Peanuts /Nuts Allergy. Where applicable, we strongly advise passengers to take all necessary medical precautions in anticipation of potential allergen exposure.
