Hong Kong Airlines Award Ticket and Award Upgrade Terms and Conditions

1. Hong Kong Airlines Award Ticket and Award Upgrade are subject to these Terms and Conditions. By redeeming the Award Ticket and/or applying for Award Upgrade, you shall be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Fortune Wings Club member shall redeem the Award Ticket for economy and/or business class for one-way and/or round trip by the following ways:-

- Hong Kong Airlines official website;

- Hong Kong Airlines Mobile APP;

- Hong Kong Airlines Customer Service Centre or email toffp@hnair.com; or

- Visit Hong Kong Airlines Ticketing Office.

3. Fortune Wings Club member shall apply the Award Upgrade by the following ways:-

- Hong Kong Airlines Customer Service Centre or email toffp@hnair.com; or

- Visit Hong Kong Airlines Ticketing Office.

4. Points for Award Ticket redemption and/or Award Upgrade is calculated based on distance specified by IATA’s Ticketed Point Mileage and measured in kilometers. Different points apply for different destinations and class and passenger is required to check before redeeming and/or applying.
5. Members can redeem award tickets and upgrades for themselves and also their nominees. Each member can add up to 10 nominees into their account for Free. Any updates to the nomination list will take 30 days to become effective.
6. Only Fortune Wings Club member and his/her nominee(s) are eligible for redeeming the Award Ticket and/or applying for Award Upgrade. Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade for nominees must be redeemed and/or applied by the member in the same way as member redeems and/or applies for himself or herself. Nominees may not directly redeem Award Ticket and apply for Award Upgrade.
7. In order to apply for Award Upgrade, Fortune Wings Club member must hold economy class tickets booked in Y/B/H/K/L/M/N fare classes.
8. For Award Upgrade, points will only be accrued on original booking class of the tickets.
9. Passenger is responsible for applicable taxes/charges/fees/surcharges. Passenger is also responsible for all other expenses and any other charges, claims or liabilities arising in relation to the use of Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade.
10. Redemption and/or upgrade is subject to availability. Hong Kong Airlines reserves the right to limit the number of seats made available for Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade for each flight at its absolute discretion. In addition, Hong Kong Airlines may impose blackout periods during which Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade is not available. Hong Kong Airlines does not guarantee that seats will be available for Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade on any particular flight and class or from/to any particular origin/destination.
11. Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade is only available for flights marketed and operated by Hong Kong Airlines, and not available on any special flights, charter flights or codeshare flights.
12. Infant and child ticket redemption rate is the same as the corresponding adult redemption rate and requires the same points for Award Ticket.
13. All Award Ticket is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise specified. Rebooking shall be made prior to scheduled flight departure time, otherwise passenger will be considered having no-showed and the ticket will be considered as used. Rebooking is subject to availability within the ticket’s validity period at the time of rebooking and service fee shall apply if using Customer Service Centre, airport counters or local sales offices. Such service fee will be waived for Fortune Wings Club Elite members.
14. Passenger’s name and flight segments of all Award Ticket cannot be changed after issuance. Tickets cannot be used for endorsement to another airlines.
15. Passenger shall travel in sequence in accordance with the itinerary; otherwise ticket will be invalid and fare of the unused sector will not be refunded.
16. In the circumstances where cancellation is requested by passenger, the points will not be returned. Only unused government imposed taxes and Hong Kong Airport Passenger Security Charge (Q) maybe refunded. Please refer to the Hong Kong Airlines Refund Policy for more information.
17. Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade is non-refundable and non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed to cash.
18. In the event that a flight is cancelled by the operator, passenger may apply for involuntary cancellation. It is the responsibility of the passenger to contact Fortune Wings Club or Hong Kong Airlines Customer Service Centre within one month of the original scheduled departure date to make changes to their ticket or have the points returned.
19. Points can only be returned into the membership account from which it was originally deducted from.
20. In the circumstances where the physical Award Ticket and/or flight coupon is lost, Hong Kong Airlines will not re-issue it.
21. Hong Kong Airlines will not be liable for any matter or loss in relation to any error or omission due to technical problems including but not limited to any computer or internet network issues.
22. Passenger is advised to check with the latest Government outbound/inbound travel alert or immigration restrictions for both departure/arrival destinations before planning the trip, including but not limited to those measures in relation to COVID-19. Passenger acknowledges that such measures may be adopted rapidly which sometimes occur during the travel.
23. Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers/promotions, unless otherwise stated.
24. Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade is subject to Hong Kong Airlines Booking Agreement and may change without prior notice.
25. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any third party rights or benefits.
26. Award Ticket and/or Award Upgrade is subject to Hong Kong Airlines General Conditions of Carriage and other relevant terms and conditions of Hong Kong Airlines and Fortune Wings Club.
27. Hong Kong Airlines reserves the right to suspend, terminate, modify or change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
28. In the event of dispute, Hong Kong Airlines’ decision shall be final and binding.
29. In case of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
30. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
