More than 100 passengers boarded Hong Kong Airlines Flight HX852 today for their first Hong Kong to Hong Kong service. Mostly flying with loved ones or friends, the participants enjoyed a late afternoon of activities with their travel companions at Boarding Gate 8 of Hong Kong International Airport before boarding for a sunset flight. The oldest passenger is 92 years old while the youngest on board is a 9-year-old child. Themed Embrace “Home” Kong, HX852 was specially organised in support of the carrier’s business partners who are affected by the pandemic as well as promoting local art and culture....

香港航空将试用电子健康护照,持续为安全重开跨境及重启国际旅游作出贡献。 Travel Pass旅行通行证应用程式由国际公认行业协会、支持各地航空公司的国际航空运输协会(IATA)建立,为旅客提供简单途径获取目的地因应COVID-19的入境要求及出发地认可的检测中心的资料。这个应用程式同时让乘客将COVID-19检测结果连接至在应用程式建立的电子护照。

Hong Kong Airlines will operate a special Embrace “Home” Kong sunset flight on Saturday, 24 October 2020. HX852 will depart Hong Kong International Airport at 4:30pm, flying within 200 nautical miles from Hong Kong over the South China seas. During the 90-minute flight, passengers will get to experience a spectacular sunset from the skies, as well as enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Hong Kong, a favourite activity for many travellers during take-off and landing.
“As one of the city’s home carriers, Hong Kong Airlines is proud to serve the people of Hong Kong and our overseas customers for close to 15 years. The current pandemic has had a prolonged effect on various business sectors in the community, especially those in the travel industry.

It is announced by Airport Authority Hong Kong that the Airport Construction Fee (ACF) will be collected on air tickets issued on/after 01 August 2016. Hong Kong Airlines will collect the ACF from departing passengers, including origin-destination (Passenger departs from Hong Kong) and transit/transfer, at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) when air tickets are issued.

Effective 1st March 2023, Hong Kong Airlines no longer require customers to wear a face covering onboard our aircraft, except for flights to and from Mainland China, Taiwan and Vietnam where, in accordance with local regulations, a face covering remains mandatory onboard.
Customers experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 are also requested to wear a face covering at all times at check-in, boarding gate, onboard the aircraft and during disembarkation.
Customers are reminded to adhere to the local requirements at their departure/arrival point which may differ.
Customers who are unable to wear a face covering for an extended period of time due to medical reasons may still be accepted for travel but should declare this at check-in. Questions on medical and travel history will be asked and responses noted in the booking record. We strongly suggest the use of alternative protection as recommended by a doctor.
All customers will be asked to provide a current contact number if we do not have a record of this to facilitate contact tracing by the relevant health authority.
Our staff at check-in, departure gate and on board will regularly check that all customers are adhering to the face covering requirement.

Hong Kong Airlines Vice Chairman Mr Tang King Shing and the Consul from The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, Mr Paulo V. Seret at the Manila inaugural celebration
Hong Kong Airlines has celebrated the launch of its new direct service connecting Hong Kong with Manila. The daily service adds nearly 2,500 seats every week on this popular route, enabling the airline to meet the increasing travel demand from the Philippines and even destinations beyond its home base, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver.
To commemorate the launch of the new service, a celebratory event was held at Hong Kong International Airport on Friday, 1 June 2018. Hong Kong Airlines Vice Chairman Mr Tang King Shing officiated the ceremony, together with the Consul from The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, Mr Paulo V. Seret and representative from the Airport Authority.
Flight HX781 was welcomed by a traditional water cannon salute on arrival in Manila. The following day, a sending-off ceremony was held at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 before flight HX782 departed for Hong Kong.
Mr Tang King Shing said: “Travel between the Philippines and Hong Kong has steadily grown over the years. Filipinos represent the largest ethnic minority residing here in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Airlines aspires to become the airline of choice for Filipinos and travellers from around the world looking to travel between Hong Kong and Manila. Our ever-expanding network now consists of nearly 40 destinations across Asia Pacific and North America, and it continues to grow.”

Mr Paulo V. Seret also said: “Manila welcomes business development opportunities, and we are very happy to have an internationally acclaimed carrier such as Hong Kong Airlines to be one of the service providers for the Hong Kong-Manila route. This will surely usher in much closer relations between the people of the Philippines and Hong Kong.”
